What we process, and why

Visiting this website

When you open a page, our web server, which is run by our hosting provider, records technical data in log files: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the website you came from, and your browser and device type. We use this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and find faults. We do not use it to identify you and we do not combine it with other data. Log files are kept only as long as these purposes require.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies for visitors, and it uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts, images and scripts come from our own server, so your browser does not contact other companies when it loads a page. Cookies are used only when our staff sign in to manage the website.

Contact form

If you send us a request through the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), your vehicle, the service you are interested in, and your message. We use them only to answer your request and prepare an offer. The form sends your message to us by email and keeps a copy in the website’s database, where only authorised staff can read it. To prevent misuse, the form counts submissions per connection for up to one hour, using a one-way hash of the IP address; the address itself is not stored.

Email, phone and customers

If you write to us by email or call us, we process your contact details and what you tell us in the same way. If you become a customer, we also process the data needed to carry out the order, for invoicing and accounting, and for warranty claims.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process data to take steps at your request before a contract and to carry out a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); for our legitimate interests in running a secure website and answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)); and to meet legal duties such as bookkeeping (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Service providers process data on our behalf, for example the company that hosts this website and the provider of our email service; they may use it only to provide their service. We pass data to authorities only where the law requires it. If a provider processes data outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA, we use contractual safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

Links to other websites

This website links to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Maps. These are plain links: nothing is loaded from those services until you click one. After that you are on their website and their privacy policy applies. The photos on our Work page are stored on our own server; each one links to the original post on Instagram.

How long we keep data

We keep a request as long as we need it to answer it and for any follow-up questions, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Data about an order is kept for as long as accounting, tax and warranty rules require; for business records, Swiss law sets ten years.

Your rights

You can ask us whether we process data about you and request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how we use it, receive it in a common format, or object to its use. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected]; we may ask you to prove your identity first. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch), and if you live in the EU or EEA, the authority in your country.

Security

We protect this website and the data it holds with technical and organisational measures that fit the risk, such as limiting access to the people who need it. Email crosses the internet unencrypted: for sensitive information, please call us.

Changes

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always on this page. Last updated: 31 October 2026.
